To repair environmental damage from past abuse of the land. 2 To protect the land from further environmental damage 3 To actively rehabilitate and regenerate the land. 4 To maintain and further develop the natural resource collections on Mt Oak and to facilitate and support research into species and techniques in relation to the above 5 (rescinded at Special General Meeting Easter 2024) 6 To establish a regional Permaculture land use consultancy; and to promote regional re-forestation projects. 7 To do all such things necessary or convenient to establish a community settlement on the land. 8. To promote, by example and in other ways: (a) the use of renewable resources and natural energy systems (b) low-cost rural community settlement according to guidelines which protect and enhance natural environments (c) regional self-sufficiency (d) rural employment in socially and environmentally useful work (e) co-operation and the use of consensus, rather than competitiveness. (f) the freedom of the individual to pursue socially and environmentally responsible lifestyles without interference by structures based on hierarchy, ownership or vested interest. (g) the acquisition of land to be held in trust in perpetuity for the objects herein. 10. To promote, through publications and in other ways, closer co-operative relations among like-minded groups and organisations. 11. To provide an alternative and innovative environment for the education of children and adults. 12. To share the land with Aborigines and to promote Aboriginal land rights 13. To honour its obligations as beneficiary under the terms of the Deed of Trust of the Free Land Association, and according to the agreements set out herein
