Would you like to be involved in the protection and restoration of threatened ecosystems?
You can get involved in the Mt Oak activities by visiting during one of our gatherings, by joining a working group, or by making a financial or in-kind donation.
Gatherings
Mt Oak gatherings are held for Mount Oak Community Association (MOCA) meetings, with both MOCA and Free Land Association Annual General Meetings taking place on the Easter weekend. Other ordinary meetings may be held and usually coincide with school holidays.
Old Mt Oakies and visitors are welcome to come and camp at Mt Oak for the gatherings.
Email [email protected] or call 0425 173 021 for further details of when and how to visit.

Working Groups
MOCA has a number of working groups who look after various aspects of the site such as Weeds & Feral Animals WG group and Roads and Fences WG. Other groups form as needed for particular projects. If you'd like to join a working group, come along to one of the Gatherings or contact us through the Contact page

It's a large property and the scale of the tasks is correspondingly large with many parts difficult to access
For example, we have over 20 kilometers of boundary fences keeping stock out The ecosystem restoration programs require ongoing funds and MOCA is a small self-funded volunteer group with very limited resources. We levy no membership fees. We make no money from the land
If you can contribute any amount whatsoever, we'll ensure it's used efficiently and with the greatest long-term effect on the rehabilitation, habitat improvement and continuing protection of the many rare or threatened species of the Monaro.
Several of our supporters have a small amount automatically debited from their bank account every month. Even $10 per month is a big help to us and we've included our bank deposit details below for those that would like to do this or to make a single non-credit/debit card payment
